In the process of current urbanization, the road traffic problems are more and more. How to resolve these problems and what kinds of principles need paying attention to in this process are worth researching. Taking the situation of road traffic in Yancheng city as the example, this paper probes into the urban road traffic situation in Yancheng City, probes into the sustainable development of the urban traffic construction in the process of the urbanization of small and medium-sized cities.
