The heroin Madia in Maida, a tragedy of Olypides of the ancient Greece and the heroin Carmen in Carmen, a critical realist work of French writer Marimei, are influential figures in the world literature. They are called angels by some people and seductive women by other people. This paper, focusing on the subject of love tragedy and based on the social reality, compares their love tragedy from the female perspective and reveals the ultimate significance of their existence.
