The EEC directives to prohibit some hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment put forward in RoSH standard and other specifications are presented. The requirements for the content of heavy metals and hazardous substances in the eco-type of PVC cable compound are proposed. The essentials of the study on formulation of eco-type of PVC cable compound and the relevant quality management system are presented.
