Jiang Nanchun still remembers Mother's advice, 'Don't get close to waters, otherwise you will get drowned.' He was a well-behaved child and always follows Mother's advice.--But now, this typical Shanghainese, who describes himself as extremely prudential and risk-averse, has led China's largest media company calculated in market capitalization. There is controversy about whether Shanghai has real entrepreneurs. Some argue that most Shanghainese are too prudential, picky and lack of the vision as an entrepreneur. The founding of some huge companies like Baosteel and Shanghai Automotive seem not change this perception cither. However, since 2000, some young entrepreneurs who speak fluent English. Mandarin and even Shanghai dialect are active in the business community and it's now time for the change. Among these new enterprise founders and business operators, there are Chen Tianqiao. Jiang Nanchun and Liang Jianzhang who are in their thirties, and Shen Nanpeng, Ji Qi, Fan Min, Sun Jian who are in their forties. These Shanghai entrepreneurs, with their typical characteristics, have now become new stars in Chinese business community.
