All types of acute care hospitals across the U.S.are becoming increasingly involved in offering CAM services.Hospitals appear to be responding to consumer demand,CAM specific market forces,and their organizational missions but not to regulatory mandate.In placing and structuring CAM services within the hospital organizational structure,hospitals may face a challenge in maintaining the attractive features of the services.Ultimately,adding CAM services to hospitals could bring the best of both worlds to patients.
