A Brief Discussion about the Influence of the Ttraditional Political Culture on the Political Modernization

政治文化的现代化是政治现代化的首要前提,传统政治文化对政治现代化有着十分重大的影响。从中西早期政治现代化的总体情况来看,传统政治文化一方面为各自的政治现代化提供了逻辑起点和理论依据,另一方面又制约着各自政治现代化的价值选择和发展速率。

The modernization of the political culture is the first precondition for the political modernization, and the former exerts a great influence on the latter greatly. An initial research on China＇s and the Western political modernizations at their early stages shows that the traditional political culture supplies the latter with a logical startingpoint and some theoretical support, while on the other hand, the former restrains the value--choice and limits the speed in the latter＇s developing course.
