Objective To study the expression of CD105,VEGF and TGF-β1 in colorectal cancer and their relationship with angiogenesis. Methods Immunohistochemical staining (S-P method) for VEGF, TGF-β1 and microvessel density (MVD) with marked CD105 were performed in 60 cases of colorectal cancer. Results The value of MVD with marked CD105 was 36.50±9.43 in colorectal cancer. The positive rates of VEGF and TGF-β1 were 68.30/00 and 75.0% ,respectively. The value of MVD and the expression of VEGF and TGF-β1 were significantly correlated to the tumor depth of invasion, lymphonode metastasis and Dukes stages (P〈0.05). The expression of VEGF and TGF-β1 was positively correlated to MVD (P〈0.01). There was a significant positive correlation between the expressions of TGF-β1 and VEGF(P〈0.05). Conclusion CD105, VEGF and TGF-β1 are closely correlated, which may be valuable markers in evaluating the angiogenesis, invasion and metastasis in colorectal cancer when combined.
