In this paper the role of libraries in constructing harmonious society has first been analyzed, and then the gap between present libraries and the demand for constructing harmonious society has also been discussed, and finally the author probes into how a library works well in building harmonious society. And the results show that libraries, as the mainstream for cultural and moral construction, offer the culture basis, the morality cultivation and high intelligence support for harmonious society. 5 refs.
