Duality of Citizen Political Participation in the Period of Social Transformation in China and the Ruling Party's Coping Measures

社会转型期,我国公民的政治参与呈现出两重性特征,执政党必须正确引导,积极促使公民的政治参与逐渐向主动化、制度化、组织化和决策参与化等方向发展,这是民主政治发展的必然要求,也是增强执政党合法性的重要维度。

In the period of social transformation, the citizen's political participation in China displays a duality character. The ruling party should contemplate this reality and take effective measures to make citizen's political participation head toward initiative, institutionalized, organized and participating in decision-making. This paper briefly analyzes the duality of citizen's political participation in China and tries to provide some selective pathways.
