Three Parts of the morden ecologic theories should be considered in architecture, which are ecosystem and ecologic balance, circulation and regeneration, adaption and symbiosis. In this artical, on the bases of the theories, we try to analyse the enviromental system of chinese traditional settlements, which includs the structure and functions of the system, enviromental idea and making use of the natural resources. We elaborate the unadaptability of the traditional settlements in the times and the blindness of its developments. We think it is effective way to solve the problems of cultural inheritance and sustained development that control this development of the settlement on the principle of ecologic cybernetics.
