文章指出赣南围屋的出现及其主要特征。阐述了围屋原形主要来自两方面：一是由当地固有的山寨、村围和官府的城堡、司城蜕化而来；二是明末清初，闽粤客家人返迁入赣，将土楼的防卫做法，也随之融入围屋中。并认为围屋与闽粤围楼之间是：相互渗透。

Enclosing houses in Gannan emerged at the end of Ming Dynasty, and the beginning of Qing Dynasty. The original shape of the enclosing houses mainly derives from two aspects; One is from the local fortified mountain villages, enclosed village, government fortress or stronghold. The other derivation is that, during the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, many Hakkas in Fujian and Guangdong moved back into the arca, some defonding measures in their local building became part of those in enclosing houses. The relations between the enclosing house and the local building in Fujian and Guangdong Provinces are so closed that the charactor of one kind can be found in another, they were embodied and infiltrated each other.
