试论我国高校本科专业设置改革

On the reform of major-setting for undergraduates

由于国家长期对高校专业设置实行统一计划与高度集中管理,我国本科专业设置存在目录修订时间过长,专业设置形式单一,高校缺乏专业设置自主权,学生缺乏自主选择和自主设计专业的权利等问题。针对这些问题,文章提出如下对策:国家应逐步下放专业设置权,让高校自主设置专业;实行多样化的专业设置方式,有效拓宽专业化的形式和途径;改革专业教育模式,完善人才培养机制。从而建立主动适应经济、科技和社会变革需要的自我发展、自我完善的专业设置机制。

With the government＇s strict and highly centralized management, there have existed problems in major-setting for undergraduates, such as too long for revision, monotonous forms in variety of majors, no power either for universities to set their own majors or for students to choose from. To solve the problems hereinbefore and set up a self-perfected mechanism of major-setting to actively meet the need of the development of economy, science and technology, and the development of society, the following measures should be taken：l, to grant universities power to set majors independently; 2. to establish and open up more ways of major-setting; 3. to reform education models and perfect the cultivation mechanism.
