摘要
麦尔维尔是美国著名的小说家,他的作品《白鲸》被公认为19世纪美国小说的杰作。在这部作品中,他的思想自始至终是矛盾的。他既忠诚于基督教,又反叛基督教。这一矛盾贯穿小说的始终。
Melville is a famous American novelist. Moby Dick is generally acknowleged as the masterpiece of American novel in the 19th century. In this novel, his thought is contradictory from beginning to the end. He is faithful to Christianity on the one hand, but he also turns against Christianity on the other hand. Tiffs article will discuss the conflict of thought in the novel.
