The paper summarized the genaral condition and basic experiences of joint venture railroads in China, and analyzed the problems in establishment standard, property right relationship, transportation organization and business management as well as the causes. In accordance with the existing problems, the paper put forward countermeasures and suggestions for the healthy development of joint venture railroads in China.
