The Analysis of Kaikousandeng "Yao" Rhymes in South Shanxi Dialect

晋南方言开口三等“药”韵字不同于现代汉语普通话。现代晋南方言开口三等“药”韵字的读音是在入声韵尾消失并入“果”摄后,主要元音高化的结果。

There are many differences between the pronunciation of those Kaikousandeng characters belonging to ＂yao＂ rhymes in South Shanxi dialect and that of modem standard Chinese. Comparing the pronunciation of kaikousandeng ＂yao＂ rhymes with theirdiachronic pronunciation, this paper analyzes the phenomenon, and we can arrive at this conclusion： the pronunciation of Kaikousandeng ＂yao＂ rhymes in modem South Shanxi dialect is the result of the rising of main vowels of ＂guo＂ group after the stop suffixes of ＂yao＂ rhymes disappeared and merged into the ＂guo＂ group,
