摘要
为了解决英语泛读课词汇教学的难题,运用Nagy等人二语词汇附带习得观点,研究英语泛读教学中开展猜词悟义、附带习得词汇的教学法,并通过对语境的讨论,提出了猜词悟义的六种类型:1.运用反义词语线索猜词;2.运用同义词语线索猜词;3.运用定义、释义线索猜词;4.运用上下文细节线索猜词;5.运用生活经验知识线索猜词;6.运用举例释义线索猜词。
Vocabulary teaching has always been a point of difficulty for language teachers in extensive classroom. This paper has studied the teaching methodology of guessing word meanings by applying Nagy's and other linguists" viewpoints on incidental vocabulary acquisition. Concretely, we have put forward six different types of guessing word meanings from the contextual cues in extensive reading. They are: 1. guessing word meanings from antonym cues; 2. guessing word meanings from synonym cues; 3. guessing word meaning from definition or explanation cues; 4. guessing word meaning from details cues; 5. guessing word meanings from experiences cues; and 6. guessing word meanings from examples" cues.
