The teaching of oral English an an additional course aims at improving their oral English competence of non-English majors and in particular, for those students whose majors are closely related to foreign affairs or business. The oral English course covers both everyday English and English for specific purposes in order to train students and help them improve their language competence. Thus the paper proves its necessity and feasibility for providing the said course from four aspects.
