It analyses the impact of urban renewal about Western countries on historical blocks and city＇s diversity, integrates the features of China＇s city development, and summarizes urban renewal procedures in our country, the actuality of historical blocks and the relevant protection systems. Furthermore, it puts forward some suggestions for the protection of historical blocks in the future.
