“三个代表”重要思想既坚持唯物史观的基本原理,又赋予唯物史观以鲜明的时代精神和实践要求。特别是其三个核心命题即“三个代表”,分别运用和阐发了唯物史观的生产力理论、文化理论和人民历史主体理论,并以其不可分割的内在联系构成一个完整的体系,集中体现了当代中国共产党人对唯物史观的创造性运用和发展。

The important thoughts of Three Representatives both persist in the basic principles of historical materialism and endow lively epoch spirits and practical requirement of historical materialism. Three Representatives, the central proposition, uses and illustrates productivity theory, cultural theory and theory of people as the historical subjectivity of historical materialism respectively. The above theories form an integrated system, reflecting the creative application and development of historical materialism by members of CPC.
