为了帮助用户更好地掌握使用PubMed和EMBASE.com两个检索系统,作者针对二者在检索功能设计与使用等方面存在的相似与不同之处,从以下九个方面对其进行了整合对比,即检索限定、检索词选取、检索结果显示、检索结果输出、检索式查看与保存、定期更新和过滤检索结果、获取全文、相关文献链接以及屏幕帮助与检索提示。
