The Grammaticalization Mechanisms of Affix-Formation in the Modern Chinese Language

实词演变为现代汉语词缀的语法化机制主要有:句法机制、语义机制、语音机制和认知机制。其中,句法机制包括句法结构变化、重新分析,语义机制包括泛化、分化,语音机制指的是汉语双音节化过程中为避免歧义而采用衍声的方法造成了大量词缀的产生,认知机制主要有隐喻。

The grammaticalization mechanisms for the development of content words into affixes in the Modern Chinese Language chiefly include the syntactic mechanism, the semantic mechanism, the phonetic mechanism and the cognitive mechanism. The syntactic mechanism includes syntactic ,structural change and re-analysis, and the semantic mechanism includes generalizing and dividing. The phonetic mechanism refers to the production of large numbers of affixes in the disyllablization of the Chinese language, and the cognitive mechanism mainly contains the use of metaphor.
