The Yellow River, popularly known as China's Mother River, starts from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, flows through Qinghai, Sichun, Gansu, Ningxia, InnerMongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan and Shandong provinces and autonomous regions, with a total length of 5,464 km, and finally empties itself into the Bohai Sea. It is the second largest fiver in China.
