从介绍传统的空间数据管理方式(即文件管理方式)和其所存在的弊端开始,对Oracle Spatial中空间数据对象-关系模型和OO4O数据库连接机制进行解析,探讨了Shapefile数据在Oracle Spatial(10 g版本)中的存取方法,文中阐述了在VC++中读取Shapefile(.shp文件)和调用OO4O进行空间数据存储的技术细节,并有实验的结果展示.

This paper introduces the traditional technology to access GIS data and the problems it brings about. And then describes the object - relation model of spatial data and the OO4O mechanism of database connection. Under the circumstances of VC ＋ ＋ , a method of storing Shapefile in oracle database with OO4O is discussed and the result of the research is also offered.
