论循吏在汉、隋两代的变化及其原因

Change on the Obedient Officials in Han Dynasty and Sui Dynasty and the Corresponding Cause

汉、隋两代的循吏虽然在崇尚德治教化、具有廉洁正直之风和深得民心方面有许多相同之处,但是他们之间又有一定程度的差异。隋代循吏以德化民的行为更为细致感人,他们廉洁的程度往往超过汉代循吏,在深得民心方面也更为突出,隋代循吏在富民方面则逊色于汉代循吏。

There were many similarities in valuing benevolent rule and moralization, the characters of incorruptibility and probity and obtaining morale among the obedient officials both in Han Dynasty and Sui Dynasty. However, there were also some differences among them. The obedient officials in Sui Dynasty did betler in benevolent rule, incorruptibihty and obtaining morale but worse in richening demos than Han Dynasty.
