The time of finishing off heap leaching, i. e. time of stopping spray, is selected reasonably,which relates to cost efficiency of heap leaching. This paper discusses the general methods which determine the time of finishing off heap leaching,and recommends the methods which determine the time of finishing off heap leaching at QY mine with input--output analysis and the case history. At the same time,it also indicates that it is not the orientation of heap leaching aspiring to high leaching rate,and the goal of heap leaching is just to strive for high cost efficiency
