《史记》对士之弘毅精神的继承和阐扬

弘毅是中国早期知识分子一项光荣的传统。《史记》中凡有着崇高人格、不朽功业的人物形象,无一不具备这一精神特点。"士不可不弘毅"最重要的凭藉是士之知识和技能,尤为可贵的是他们将士之具体固定的职事责任,上升到精神领域,坚持信念、情操,充当社会理想典型。

This is a time-honoured cultural value of 'a scholar must to be Hong-yi'. In Records of the Historian, scholars most had these spirited characteristics. The knowledge and skills are the most important foundations to a scholar. They sublimate scholars' concrete duties and responsibilities to the spiritual and moral area, and moreover, they persist in their conviction, their sentiment. And at the same time, they are willing to serve as ideal models of society.
