摘要
本文综述了稀土铁石榴石磁光材料及磁光器件研究的最新进展;对最具应用价值的高掺Bi系列和掺Ce系列石榴石磁光材料作了介绍;
Recent research and development on magneto optical materials and devices are reviewed. Investigations on highly Bi substituted and Ce substituted rare earth iron garnets are extensively described. Large temperature coeffieient of Faraday rotation for Bi garnets becomes an actual problem.It is improved by using a combination of some garnets with different signs for the temperature coeffieient. Magneto optical devices such as compact isolators and current/magnetic field sensors are noted in view of the applications to optical communication and control systems.
