There are many more types of ecological disasters in Hebei Province, including drought, flood, land degradation, sandstorm, geological disaster, pest and environmental pollution. Some ecological disasters occur frequently and some of the ecological disasters cause enormous loss. In Hebei Province there were two main causes of ecological disasters： the first one was the natural causes because of the uneven precipitation, diversity of landscape, complex geological condition and vulnerable natural ecological environment and the second was the artificial cause, which was weak ecological concepts, extensive mode of operation and unsound of legal system; these human factors exacerbated ecological disasters intensity and frequency. The key task of disaster prevention was to strict implement the activity of planning and monitoring, to strengthen early warning and to restore natural vegetation. And there should be an appropriate response to some key measures for disaster prevention.
