Day by day, the cause of Shandong public sports stands on a new stage of development. According to the investigation, the total number of stadi- ums in Shandong is 47 thousand, ranking second in China. The average area for sports per person is 1.18 square meters; there are over 3,000 sports associations at different levels with over 30 thousand social sports guides and places for activities. The percentage of people who do sports is more than 38 percent. On that basis, the establishment of "Shandong Province Pub- lic Sports Fitness Ordinance" indicates the standardization of public fitness.
