As far as Shandong is concerned, people are used to saying "one mountain, one water, and one saint" (Mount Tai, Baotu Spring and Confucius) to describe it. However, can these be representative enough for Shandong? Years ago, when Liu Dayin was standing in front of the Mo-tse mansion blueprint that he was planning to build and raised the bold idea of "one mountain, two waters, and three saints," he was in the whole public eyes. Let's put aside the question if this idea has been officially admitted, and talk about Liu Dayin's thought provoking portray on "one mountain, two waters, and three saints" one mountain is definitely Mount Tai. Two waters are Baotu Spring and Weishan Lake as well, which is the biggest fresh water lake to the north of the Changjiang River, and a hub on the canal that goes southward and northward.
