摘要
笔者以问卷调查的方式对华北地区的三省一市9所不同类型高校的大学英语写作教学进行了调查。调查结果表明,现行教学中普遍存在对写作重视不够、课时不足、练习量少、反馈质量有待提高和教学针对性不强等问题。鉴于写作技能是语言综合应用能力中不可或缺的部分,也是语言习得中产出的一个重要环节,文章在分析上述问题成因和其弊端的基础上,提出一些应对措施,希望有助于解决大学英语学习中“费时低效”的现象。
This survey is conducted among both teachers and students in 9 different types of universities located in three provinces and one city of North China to examine how writing is taught among non-English major college students. As writing is an important and essential language skill, this article proceeds to present and analyze the results, which reveal both the inadequate attention to the teaching and practising of writing and the poor quality of feedback on the writing due to some constrains in the current teaching practices such as limited class hours and mixed class etc. Then the article goes further to explore some possible causes for these problems and their negative effects. Finally, some suggestions are also ventured with a view to improving the non-English majors' English teaching and learning efficiency.
