谈到农民意识问题,人们往往将其与贫穷、落后、封闭、保守以及愚昧联系在一起,这是不公平的。中国是一个传统的农业国家,农民占绝大多数。中华民族的传统美德是在农业大国的基础上产生和发展起来的,农民意识与农民的思想道德观念有着千丝万缕的联系。我们在弘扬传统美德的同时,不能把优良的东西取走而把糟粕称为农民意识。在社会主义新农村建设中,我们必须站在客观公正的立场上,弘扬农民意识中的精华,剔除其糟粕,通过教育树立一种新型的农民意识,真正实现我国社会的稳定发展。

There are countless ties between the farmers＇ awareness and their moral ideas. In constructing socialist new rural areas, we should discard the dross of the farmers＇ awareness and select the essence of it in order to establish a new type of farmers＇, awareness.
