Interleukin-10 and psoriasis

银屑病是一种常见的红斑丘疹鳞屑性皮肤病,免疫调节异常是其重要的致病机制之一。白介素-10是一种具有多种免疫调节作用的Th2型细胞因子,能够抑制角质形成细胞过度增殖和分化,促进Ⅰ型细胞因子模式向Ⅱ型转变,减少银屑病皮损T细胞浸润。临床试验证实,IL-10具有显著的抗银屑病作用,且无严重毒副作用,有希望成为治疗银屑病的一种新手段。

Psoriasis is a common chronic inflammatory skin disease, and immunoregulation abnormality is one of the important factors involved in its pathogenesis. Interleukin-10 is a pluripotent cytokine with major impacts on several immune responses, including inhibiting keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation, promoting type 1/type 2 cytokine balance shift, decreasing cutaneous T cell infiltration. The antipsoriatic activity of IL-10 has been demonstrated in clinical trials. And it could be a promising candidate for the treatment of psoriasis.
