An Analysis of the Relationship Between Serving Others and Serving Oneself in the Moral Quality

“:利他”与“利己”固然有不同的内涵,传统的达尔文主义的进化论甚至主张“利他”与“利己”是截然对立的,但是从全球环境来看,要构建和谐的社会,我们必须注意人际环境中的互助与合作,努力达成“利他”与“利己”关系的“和而不同”的局面。从心理学的角度来看,利他与利己的和谐才最可以符合人的利益而且是最容易达成的德育目标。

Serving others and serving oneself have different connotations. The traditional evolution theory of Darwinism held that serving others and serving oneself are diametrically opposed to each other. But seeing from the global environment, we must pay attention to the mutual help and cooperation in the interpersonal environment and endeavor to create a situation in which serving others and serving oneself are in harmony while still being different. From the perspective of psychology, the harmony between serving others and serving oneself is in keeping with the interests of people and also easiest to reach the aim of moral education.
