A Research on Fossilization in English Learning with Samples

语言石化现象是外语学习者学习外语过程中所出现的一种语言僵化现象。本文通过实证收集和分析,研究语言石化现象产生的根源,并提出防止石化现象产生的一些措施。这些措施将有助于改进学习者学习模式和提高大学外语教学质量。

Fossilization in language is a phenomenon of language petrifaction in the course of the learners＇ learning a foreign language. This paper, by the collection and analysis of the samples of the students, investigates the roots of fossilization in language learning, and puts forward some measures for preventing fossilization happening. The measures will help to improve the learning styles of the learners and raise up the level of foreign language teaching in college.
