This paper makes brief introduction of formation cause and prevention measures of corrosion in pit form in cylinder jacket of marine diesel engine. There are many methods to prevent and reduce the corrosion in pit form ; the selection should be decided according to the engine type, structure and cause of formation to have good effect.
