The Trade Effects of FDI in Agri-food Industry:A Literature Review and the Direction for Future Researches

近年来,我国农副食品进出口贸易呈总体增加趋势,且与相关产业FDI有一定的相关性。无论出于理论还是实践目的,都需要对这种相关性进行解释,更需要进一步探讨这种相关性的微观经济基础。通过对FDI与进出口关系的理论文献和实证文献进行回顾发现,农产品和食品等初级产品进出口和相关行业FDI结论也有不一致之处。考虑到造成国际贸易与直接投资相关性有其微观基础,探讨造成这种现象的企业行为,才能对理论与实践做出进一步贡献。

Generally speaking, the foreign trade of agri - food is ascending in recent years. And it is related with the FDI in agri - food industry. Either theory - oriented or practice - oriented, it is necessary to explain this phenomenon. Further more, it is essential to seek for the microeconomic basis for this relationship. Reviewed the literature in which the authors discussed the relationship between FDI and trade, we found that the conclusions are conflicted with each other in some sense. The microeconomic behaviors are the cause of the relation between FDI and trade. So for further contribution to the economic theory and political practice, we need to find out the behavior of firms which cause the phenomenon.
