摘要
策略是人们应对环境挑战的方式。策略与环境之间存在着既相容又排斥的双重联系。国内外外语教学界现行的策略研究主要在于探讨不同策略的有效性,以期发现较为高效的学习策略组合,并通过策略培训提高英语学习效果。笔者通过教学实验发现,策略研究还可以有另一种研究思路:通过对学习环境要素的改变,淘汰那些效率较低的学习策略要素,激发那些效率更高的策略要素,进而提高学习的效果。
Strategies are ways of human responses to the environmental challenges, which allow a certain range of effective responses. Current research in EFL strategies takes the effectiveness of strategies as its major concern, focusing on discovery of the most effective repertoire of strategies in EFL learning and then on how to spoon-feed them into learners. The experiment conducted by the author shows a different approach to research on strategies: improvement of effectiveness in learning strategies through environmental changes that stimulate natural selection of viable strategies and rejection of unviable ones.
