In the practice of investigation and the theory of detective logic, an important standard on evaluating and selecting the evidences of investigation is the differentiation in effectiveness between them ,and it is relevant to evaluating,modifying and selecting a hypothesis on investigation. The differentiation in effectiveness between the evidences of investigation in the theory of detective logic is the differentiation about the effectiveness of the evidences of investigation compatative to a hypothesis on investigation,which results from many factors and we can construct the merhod of describing this kind of differentiation in the frame of the logic of induction, of which the representative one is Cohen＇s theory of the gradation of the inductive support.
