明清徽商高度重视家庭教育的现象及原因分析

Analysis on Huizhou Merchants' Special Attention to Family Education in Ming and Qing Dynasties and Its Reason

高度重视家庭教育,是明清徽商家庭一个引人注目的现象。这种重视不仅深深植根于明清徽商及家人的思想意识中,而且在其日常行为中也有种种表现。他们之所以特别看重对家庭子弟的教育,既与当时统治阶级的倡导和推广、徽州地区社会舆论的推崇密切相关,更重要的则是与他们“亢身亢宗”的教育动机紧密相联。

It is noticeable that Huizhou merchants paid special attention to teaching their offspr/ng in Ming and Qing dynasties. The attention not only took deeply root to the family members＇ ideology, but also could be found in their daily life. The reasons are as the following： the ruling class initiated and promoted education at that time; the public held education in esteem in Huizhou area; and the most important is the family＇s education motive：＂to develop oneself is to develop one＇s ancestors＂.
