“左丘失明,厥有《国语》”新解

A New Explanation of"Zuo Qiu Being Blind,and Guoyu Being Born"

左丘明姓名来源失载,单姓、复姓说均有疑。左丘明当以义命名,即“佐孔丘明史”义。“左丘失明,厥有《国语》”或可释为“佐孔丘明史而有失明细,于是有《国语》之继”。左丘明并非盲史官。《左传》可称《左氏春秋》、《春秋左传》、《春秋左氏传》甚至《春秋传》、《春秋古文》乃至与《国语》合称《春秋》.《国语》,但却不可称《国语》或单称《春秋国语》。

The origin of Zuo Qiuming＇s name was not recorded, and the theory of single family name and plural family name were both doubted. This paper believed that ＂Zuo Qiuming＂ was named by its meaning-＂ helping Confucius make history clear＂. Therefore, ＂Zuo Qiu Being Blind, and Guoyu Being Born＂ can be explained as ＂helping Confucius make history clear was not detailed enough, so Guoyu could make compensation for it. ＂ Zuo Qiuming was not a blind official of history. Zuozhuan could also be called as Zuoshi Chunqiu, Chunqiu Zuozhuan, or Chunqiu and Guoyu, but can not be called as Guoyu or Chunqiu Guoyu.
