Reparation Regulation of Qing Tombs Engineering: One Case of YU-Ling-En of Eastern Tombs of Qing Dynasty

从清东陵乾隆的裕陵隆恩殿的维修中,我们得以窥见清代陵寝工程中所实施的赔修制。这一制度规定得非常严格,一旦工程出现问题,则要层层追究责任,按规定赔修或者赔缴银两。若本人身故,则由子孙代赔。这一制度的实施,在一定程度上保证了工程质量。

According to the reparation regulation of YU-Ling-En of Eastern Tomb of Qian-Long in Qing dynasty, we learn that what is make-up regulation in the project of Qing Tombs. The regulation is very strict, in case of any problem, the responsible persons must be made certain, they have to repair the project on their own expenses or pay back the expenses. If any responsible person dies without clear evidence, his off springs have to pay off instead. The carrying-out of the regulation is to ensure the quality of the engineering.
