摘要
信号传递理论有助于雇主识别不同能力的申请者,以便把他们安置到不同的岗位。随着高等教育的快速发展,适龄人口入学率大幅增加,受教育程度作为一种信号,其功能有弱化的趋势,进而可能产生信号失灵现象。大学教师的录用,不仅要鉴别包括受教育程度在内的各种已有信息,更要考察申请者的学术素养和学术潜力,而试用期制度就是一种较好的制度设计。
The signal-transferring theory helps employers to check out: applicants of various kinds of potential abilities and assign them to different positions. With the development of high education, more and more students have come of age to enter universities. The function of the signal of educational background has been weakened. In hiring faculty, we should not only consider the applicants' educational backgrounds, but also take applicants' academic abilities and academic potentials into consideration. Probation is a good method to resolve the problem.
