摘要
针对新建本科院校学生外语学习存在僵化疲萎的状况和学习动机不足的原因,文章通过实证性调查,分析了在新建本科院校的特殊环境下学生外语学习的四大动机倾向以及对学生外语成绩的不同影响,提出了改善外语学习状况和激活外语学习动机的几点做法。
The lack of motivation is largely responsible for the recession in students' English learning seen by some newly established universities. The paper probes the circumstances under which the four principal English learning motivations fimction and their effects on students' English learning achievements. Some tentative strategies for empowering the students' English learning are also ventured.
