With the development of digital technology, printing technology has been also developed greatly, and color management system comes into the printing industry. The color management system is used, not only in printing industry, but also in whatever fields are related to color information reproduction and communication. Starting from the basic principles of color management, its applications in the printing industry are then addressed, some aspects and key points in applying color management in practice being figured out. In the conclusion, some developing trends of color management system are also discussed.
