’95世妇会以来的10年,中国大陆女性人口学取得了长足发展,具体表现在:女性人口学作为人口学的分支学科建设有了实质性的进展,研究力量不断增强;社会性别分析已经作为重要的研究视角引起人口学者的重视;学科交叉的特点日益突出;研究方法也不断丰富。学术刊物刊载的研究论文增多;女性人口研究的著作不断涌现;同时也存在对女性人口学理论研究重视不够,学术交流的平台及氛围未完全建立,学术成果的水平参差不齐等问题。

Since the World Conference on Women in 1995, the female demographical studies in China has made much progress. As a sub - field of demography as well as an inter - field, it has attracted more researchers with the introduction of new approaches and the publication of new findings. The remaining problems include the inadequate theoretical studies and the lack of enough academic communication and findings.
