While part of the principle of this technology and its development method are expounded, the design of software and hard- ware for ZigBee2based wireless water-meter reading system are described, Then the acquisition of impulse signal, implementation of ZigBee2based wireless communication interface and transformation from Sigsbee protocol to Meter2Bus protocol are discussed. Finally, the value of wireless water meter reading applications and future ZigBee technology development are outlined.
