摘要
本文通过对比分析法,指出汉英在零形回指的使用上有着明显的差异。汉语是主题突出性语言,零成分的出现和使用率相当高:而英语是主语突出性语言,零成分的使用率很低。汉语用零照应的地方,英语一般会用代词。
This paper presents a comparative analysis of the zero anaphora in the English language and in the Chinese languafe, and reveals that Chinese is a topic-prominent language and it allows the massive use of zero anaphora （ellipsis of pronoun） in sentences and discourses, while English is a subject-prominent language ,in which the use of zero anaphora is more constrained. When zero anaphora is used in Chinese texts, the pronoun tends to be used in its corresponding English texts.
