摘要
Colorectal cancer is a common cause of cancer-related mortality. In China, it is one of eight cancers in the cancer control blueprint, which are suggested to have comprehensive treatment. Some patients with colorectal cancer presented no symptoms when they were diagnosed, yet the tumor had already penetrated the intestinal wall and involved adjacent organs. If the tumor is localized at time of diagnosis without distant metastases, it is termed locally advanced colorectal cancer (LACC) regardless of whether there is lymph node metastasis. LACC commonly encountered in clinical practice accounts for 5%-10% of all colorectal cancers.
