On the basis of investigation and summarization, the author introduces the general applying condition of GIS in ecological planning, illustrates the developing tendency of ecological planning from analysis on landscape pattern, research on regional dynamic change and analysis on statistic graph, in order to popularize the application of GIS technology in ecological realm.
